Invited lecture at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona
I'll be speaking at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in the Grupo de Estudios sobre República y Democracia (GERD) lecture series on 5 May 2016 at 10:00AM.
I'll be discussing the specific role of Prime Minister Juan Negrín in the prosecution and oral trial of the leadership of the Partido Obrero de Unificación Marxista (POUM) in October 1938. The lecture will draw heavily on new research in Negrín's recently opened archive.

2015 George Watt Prize Winner
Congratulations to... Jonathan Sherry (graduate, University of Pittsburgh) for his dissertation chapter "The Soviet Show Trial as Export: Justice and Legal Culture in the Spanish Civil War," this year's Watt Prize winning essay!
